Onboarding journey automation
Your leads already moved to WhatsApp. Your funnel did not.
A lead comments on an ad at 9pm, sends a DM, expects an answer, then books a call. We build the journey that carries them the whole way, across social, WhatsApp, voice, email and your CRM, without anyone staying up to watch an inbox.

The three stages
One journey, three stages, no gaps between them
Most teams have a tool for each stage and nothing joining them. The lead falls into the join. We build the whole path and instrument every step of it.
Capture
Every place a lead can reach you, feeding one pipeline instead of six inboxes nobody owns.
See the stage Stage 2Qualify and convert
Ask the qualifying questions automatically, score the answer, and hand a warm lead to a human who is ready for it.
See the stage Stage 3Retain and grow
The journey does not stop at the sale. Onboarding, renewals and support run on the same rails.

What each channel is actually good at
The question underneath which channels do you support is nearly always which one should we be on. Here is the honest version, including what each one costs you in constraints.
WhatsApp Business API
Best for
Highest reply rates of any channel we build on, and the one people actually check.
Watch out
Meta charges per conversation, by category and country. Account approval takes time.
Instagram and Messenger
Best for
Where a public comment becomes a private conversation, without asking for an email.
Watch out
Strict messaging windows. Anything that reads as bulk sending risks the account.
VAPI voice agents
Best for
High-value leads where a call was going to happen anyway, qualified before a human joins.
Watch out
Disclosure and recording consent rules differ by jurisdiction. Wrong tool for low-value volume.
Email sequences
Best for
B2B, longer cycles and anything that needs an audit trail or an attachment.
Watch out
Behaviour-triggered only. Timer-based nurture is largely ignored now.
Web forms and chat
Best for
Highest-intent moment on your own site, and the cheapest capture you own outright.
Watch out
Every extra field costs submissions. Failures are silent unless you alert on them.
SMS and missed call
Best for
Recovery. A message inside a minute catches intent a returned call usually misses.
Watch out
Regulated in most markets. Needs a consent basis and a working opt-out.
Industries
The failure point is different in every industry
A portal lead going cold is not the same problem as a midnight sizing question or a document-heavy compliance check. Each industry page starts from what actually breaks.
Journeys
Pick the path you are trying to fix
Journeys cut across industries. Every article on this site sits at one industry and one journey, so you can read your exact situation instead of a generic overview.
How it runs
What actually happens after you book the call
Six steps, with the honest note that approvals rather than engineering usually set the timeline.
- 0130 minutes
Scoping call
How leads reach you today, which channels nobody owns, what the CRM actually holds. You leave with the sequence drawn out and a cost band, whether or not you continue.
- 022 to 3 days
Written proposal
The sequence, the tools, the fixed price and the dependencies we do not control, in writing. No slide deck.
- 03Usually the long pole
Access and approvals
WhatsApp Business API verification, platform review and your own internal sign-off. This is where timelines slip, and it is why we start it first.
- 041 to 4 weeks
Build and test
Built against a test number and a sandbox CRM, so you see the real conversation before a real lead does.
- 051 week
Launch on a small share
One channel or one campaign first. Full traffic only once the routing, scoring and handoff have been watched under real load.
- 06Ongoing
Handover or managed
Documented flows, credentials that were always in your name, and a training session. Run it yourself or put it on a managed plan.
Where we fit
A build partner is not a messaging platform
Respond.io, Wati and BotSpace are good products solving a different problem. Most of our builds run on top of one of them.
| Capability | A messaging platform | A build partner |
|---|---|---|
| Shared inbox and messaging UI | Core product, and better than anything we would build | Use the platform |
| Per-seat pricing that scales with your team | Yes, monthly and ongoing | Use the platform |
| Qualification script written from your sales process | A template you configure yourself | Built for you |
| Routing rules across territory, product and availability | Basic assignment rules | Built for you |
| Integration with the systems outside the platform | Ends at the platform boundary | Built for you |
| Voice qualification joined to the same pipeline | Rarely, and usually as a separate product | Built for you |
| Somebody accountable when a lead is lost between two tools | Support ticket | Built for you |
Not an argument against buying a platform. Most of our builds run on top of one, and if a platform alone covers your case we will say so on the call rather than sell you a build you do not need.

FAQs
Onboarding automation, answered plainly
The questions that come up on nearly every first call, answered here so you do not have to book one to find out.
What is onboarding journey automation?
It is the automated path a lead travels from first contact to becoming a paying, onboarded customer. In practice that means capturing the lead wherever it appears, replying within minutes on the channel they chose, asking your qualifying questions, scoring the answers, routing the good ones to the right person with context attached, and continuing the sequence after the sale. Most companies have tools for two or three of those steps and nothing joining them.
How is this different from buying a chatbot platform?
A platform sells you the tool and leaves the journey to you. Respond.io, Wati and BotSpace are all good products, and all of them stop at their own product boundary. We build the whole path including the parts that sit outside any single platform, which is usually where leads are actually lost. If you already run one of those platforms we build on top of it rather than replacing it.
Do we need to replace our CRM?
Almost never. Zoho, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce and most others expose the APIs we need, so we build against what you have. We only recommend a change when the current system genuinely cannot support routing or two-way sync, and we say that during scoping rather than after you have paid for a discovery phase.
How long does a build take?
The engineering is rarely the constraint. WhatsApp Business API approval, platform review times and your own internal sign-off usually set the real timeline. We give a realistic range at scoping and name explicitly which parts we do not control.
Do you work with companies outside the UAE?
Yes. GoDesign is licensed in the UAE and delivers from Dubai and Islamabad, and the client base spans 14 countries. The working day overlaps European, Gulf and most Asian business hours, and we schedule around the gap for clients further west.
What does it cost?
Capture builds start around USD 800, automated qualification around USD 1,600 and CRM implementation around USD 2,700, with managed operation from USD 350 a month. Most engagements combine several of those. The final number is fixed after a scoping call, because the same request costs very different amounts depending on what you already run.
Will customers know they are talking to an AI agent?
Yes, because we build it to say so. Pretending otherwise breaks trust the moment somebody notices, and on WhatsApp they always notice. The agent identifies itself, answers from your own documentation, and hands over to a person as soon as the conversation needs one.
What happens on the first call?
Thirty minutes on how leads reach you today, which channels nobody owns and what your CRM actually holds. You leave with the sequence drawn out, the tools named and a realistic cost band, whether or not you build it with us. There is no discovery fee.
